From B to A

In February 2021, my spouse and I started a new chapter and moved from Berlin to Australia. At first, it was all about spontaneity, diving into the unknown, and looking for some fun adventures. However, as the dimensions of our 2x2m tent began to constrain us, we sought a more permanent place that resonated with our ideas and started searching for jobs. The best part was not knowing where we’d end up; it kept things exciting.
Juliane was the main reason we moved to this faraway destination. We began our adventure with a 40-hour flight and a mandatory two-week quarantine because of COVID-19, staying at the Pullman medi-hotel in Adelaide CBD. Those two weeks gave us plenty of time to plan our trip, and for me to start writing. I’ll share more about what I wrote in my travel memoir soon.

Despite the increasingly dire pandemic, we had a relatively good time in our room. The pics below give an impression of our stay at the hotel.

CBD view, a quarantine guide for those without a plan, a tidy room with a balcony (yes, very lucky), peaking through the hole of the hotel door, and one of many food containers we got served in our room.
